Rita's May....5 Gold Rings

(Yes, I've been singing while stitching this one.)

I'm busy model stitching lately but took some time out to stitch this.

Now back to the "salt mines".  ;-)

March - Tinsel/Christmas Lights

Hello to you all!

I am slowly but surely catching up!

Here is my March "ornie" which is from the bigger design of  ABC Christmas by LizzieKate.  I willl try to remember next month to take a picture of the whole project so far.

As always I am in awe of all everyone's beautiful stitching!  I am in great company here :)

Happy Stitching!

Serendipitous Jo's May's FIVE GOOOOOOOLLLLLLLD RINGS

Own up, who else sang this line like that?

I am stitching Joan Elliott's 12 Days of Christmas for the blog this year and have reached everyone's favourite day, sung with gusto by school children everywhere.

The gaps will be filled with beads at the end

Here is where the design was last month:

and here's where I am now:

As well as Day 5 I have completed the top border, just for a break from the metallic!  Now I am working down the left hand side with the metallic thread again.  I'll stitch the vines in that side then do more metallic on the right and so on.

I also added yellow and green the Herald Angel on the left.  The plan is to do a little bit of her each month too.

April - I'm Late

I'm late, but I did get my 4th Day done.

And as you can see, a few stitches of 5th Day as well.

Here's how the whole project looks at the moment. The fabric colour in the pictures is terrible - it's really a lovely opalescent green.

The row I'm on will have 4, 5 and 6, then I'll drop down and put 7 - 10, then drop again and centre 11 and 12. Hopefully it will have something like a Christmas tree shape when I'm done.

I also want to say I'm sorry I seem to have disappeared from the blogging world, but I'm dealing with a number of health issues and my energy levels are very low. Hopefully I will be back soon.

Rita's April...4 Calling Birds

Sorry to be late to the party for April.  The ornament was actually stitched ahead of time but I've been traveling again and then playing  catch-up at home when I returned.  (Now I have a stupid cold!)  Without further ado, here's my ornament for April:
