Another reindeer and a June ornament

Hello friends,

yes, I stitched another reindeer. It's one that I had always wanted to stitch because he is so funny. And I think my grandson will love him as he is for his advent calendar.

Brigitte's March Ornament

Hello friends,

I stitched this little ornament quite a while ago. It will become one of the advent calendar bags that I plan to do this year.

It's Be an Elf by The Primitive Hare and can be found in the 2014 JCS Ornament issue. I changed it a bit so that it won't be too big for the little bag.

January and February in one post

Hello friends,

finally I can show you the first two ornies for this year. We have had a photo session today around noon during half an hour of sunshine, the first half hour for days.

The left ornie is Fa La La by Something in Common that I saw here on this blog. And the right is Let It Snow by Country Cottage Needleworks that I found in an older JCS Ornament issue. But both will not be ornaments but I want to turn them into little bags for my grandson's advent calendar.

Now on to choose a new design for the March theme.

Little Houses in December

Still in time - a snowman

Dear friends,

he is finally finished, my snowman for this month. I finished the stitching part last week but then wasn't motivated enough to sew on the little buttons - until this morning :) So here he is.

Blackwork Angel

Hello friends,

yesterday I finished my angel for this month's theme. I stitched it for a dear friend who loves angels, and I will finish it as an ornament.

Stitching with the gold thread wasn't fun and I am glad that there wasn't so much that had to be stitched with it. But the angel stitched up very quickly.

Two little trees

Hello friends,

Wednesday evening I managed to put in the last stitches on my second little tree. I stitched only two very small trees although I had pulled out many charts with Christmas trees - but there's still time until Christmas.

Two Santas finished

Hello, dear blogging friends,

I am Brigitte and after joining Kaye's Prairie Schooler and Americana SAL blogs I thought why not join this one as well. I do not often stitch Christmas items but I have many JCS Ornament issues and have stitched nearly nothing from them. This has to change, lol.

But for this month's theme I chose Santas from other booklets. Here they are:

The little pillow shows a Santa from an Alma Lynne booklet, Folksy St. Nick. Can you believe that I had to pull out 24 different DMC and Anchor colours for him? The card shows a little Santa from an old Anchor leaflet and wasn't very difficult to stitch. Just perfect for a Christmas card.

Now on to looking for a pattern for the September theme.
