I've started stitiching again and finished this ornament. I still need to do the back stitching, which I hope to complete this weekend.

Mary's Noel for June

Here's my "words" ornament, Noel by Sandra Longan of Log Cabin Needleworks. It was a freebie on Sandy's blog. She has another one called Merry Christmas that is equally nice. I changed the colors, using Dried Thyme and Cranberry from Gentle Arts and put little red beads on for the berries. I think the fabric is 28 ct platinum.

This is such a versatile and quick stitch, I can see it looking beautiful with so many other colors! I will definitely be making this one again!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments on my previous entries! I did skip May but my July is already to post as soon as we turn the calendar page! :) If you want to see it early, check out my blog!

Rita's June 6 Geese A-Layin'

I've been model stitching lately but took a few breaks from the model to stitch my June block.  Appropriately, the other night I took it down to sit by our lake where we have geese to finish this block.  We used to have a pair of Canadian geese.  Sadly a year or so ago one of the pair died but this year the remaining Canadian goose mated with a brown goose and there were 3 eggs.  2 hatched but some animal killed one of the babies.  The surviving baby has now grown almost as big as its mama.  They are so fun to watch swimming together on the lake!

June - Christmas Words/Phrases

Hello everyone!

I have finished my Christmas word for this month.  I thought it fit because what other time of the year do you say "Candy Cane"?

And here is the whole project.  I could not get my helper here to leave me alone while I took the picture.  He is lucky he is cute!

Thank you all so much for all the kind comments you leave me on my posts!

Happy Stitching!

April and May done... June won't be far behind!

Fabric: 28ct Jobelan "Gold Digger" - Colour Cascade Fabrics
Threads: Jodryi Designs (Wuthering Heights, Sense & Sensibility, The Olde Curiousity Shoppe, Midnight Hour)

Well best laid plans to come back and post in May went right out the window!  I did however get Day 4 and Day 5 finished in May and I have now started Day 6.
I decided to add a bit of gold highlight on the gold rings on Day 5 by doing a half stitch over the top of the full cross stitch in gold petite treasure braid.  The picture doesn't show it up though.

See you again soon (I hope!), til then happy stitching! 😄
Hugs xx

June's Geese

Managed to get in some nice stitching time and Dragonlet #6 was done.

I have to figure out how to make the sparkle show up in the pictures. The fabric sparkles and so does the egg shell.

Here is the whole piece at the moment.

Serendipitous Jo's June's Six Geese-a-Laying

This month's block is just the one Goose-a-laying which is quite a relief!  Six geese would be a lot to stitch.

I did my usual method of stitching the main part of the picture with two strands and then the background with just one.  So on here the green and blue is only one strand which gives it a more delicate look.  I started doing this on the Partridge block as it was so densely stitched.  Using one strand makes the main part stand out more.

Here is where I was last month:

Since then I have completed all the metallic around the border, started the left hand vines and added some more stitches to the left hand Herald Angel.  I do a little bit on her each month.

May 2017

I still have May, although it is already June :-)
I apologize for the delay!
But it is worth it. I have Sleighs and Reindeer too :-)

Thank you for your friendship!
Merry xxxx in June!
