2 Blingy "Biscornuments"

Here are my blingy August ornaments...2 of the Biscornuments from The Victoria Sampler (there are 5 designs). I have admired this pattern a long time and decided since it fit the theme pretty well that I was up for the challenge. They were quick to stitch and slow to assemble. The cording and tassels were fun to make. I will enjoy these very much on our tree this year!

August Ornament

Hey stitchers!

For the August Blingy Ornament I stitched "Ornament".  And I like to think the ornaments on the side are those pretty glass ornaments so in real life they would be quite blingy.

It was easy counting this month since below and above were already stitched :)

See you all next month!

Happy Stitching!

Faith's August Ornament

Well this month it looks as though we have a hurried waitress that is trying to get everyone's milk to them while it is fresh!

August: 12 Days

Four Calling Birds
My Birds from 12 Days by Hands On Days is done except for the back stitching. I substituted beads for the cross stitch berries. I'm planning to get some petite beads to use on a few of the other ornaments.

Serendipitous Jo's August Eight Maids-a-Milking

This block took a little bit longer than previous ones as there are so many colour changes and small areas to stitch.

I'm making great progress on the header too and have finished the Christmas Roses as well as both Angels.

Here's where I was last month:

And here we are now:

Rita's Aug 2017...8 Maids A-Milking

I'm so glad I'm stitching these from the PS leaflet 12 Days of Christmas!  I'd been meaning to stitch the days individually for ornaments (for years!) and this sal is the perfect opportunity to do it.  Also, the hardest part for me is to choose a design in the theme, so stitching these makes that a breeze.

Happy stitching, all!

Fabric: 28ct Jobelan "Gold Digger" - Colour Cascade Fabrics
Threads: Jodryi Designs (Wuthering Heights, Sense & Sensibility, The Olde Curiousity Shoppe, Midnight Hour)

I'm back!  Finally got back on blogger to show you the next block (or 2) of my version of 12 Days of Christmas by Plum Street Samplers.  June and July are both now completed.  I do need to get back to August before the month is out....

Unfortunately the photo above doesn't really show the blocks up that well.  The colours look stunning in real life... I will have to try and get a better picture when I come back to post August!

Til then, happy Christmas stitching
