The next section of my banner is finished and I think that this is the hardest thing for most people to do. When all the presents are wrapped and looking inviting under the tree everyone always wants to open them and take a peek inside! I used to shake them to see if I could guess what is was and hated the ones that sounded like clothes! ha ha

My children swore that this rule happened every year on Christmas Eve. They would say 'Mom, do you hear that? I think I hear the bells on the reindeer!' So of course that is when all good Moms say 'Well you better hurry up and get in bed and go to sleep so Santa doesn't pass by our house!!'  I love the imagination and innocence of children when they are young, it is just a shame they lose it as they get older.

The next rule will be for either the romantic in you or the shy person in you who wants to catch that special someone but don't know how to approach them! Personally I would be scared to attempt or the results for the second scenario but no risk, no reward!

Faith's January Ornament

Hi everyone!

For 2018 I decided to stitch Lizzie*Kate's Christmas Rules as a banner. Since there are twelve sections my "plan" is to stitch and post a different rule each month.

For January I have stitched the banner header (offered free on the LK website) and the first rule.

The snowflakes were supposed to be white but they did not stand out on this fabric. I picked the blue since it was the color they used as the snow in the header.

Feelin' Festive....

Hello!!

For September's stitching choice I dived into my rather large WIP basket and pulled out a Lizzie Kate design - "Tiny Tidings XV - Feelin' Festive".

I still have to do the "final" ornie finish on this one but the stitching is finished so I think it ticks the box as a finish!!

While there isn't a tree in this design... there are presents!  I love the simplicity of the Lizzie Kate designs... no (or minimal) backstitch...  The fabric that I stitched it on has gold flecks through out which just adds to the festive feeling!

Before I go, I just want to say that there have been some lovely designs stitched (and shown on the blog) over the last couple of months, and I am really looking forward to seeing more as the months count down to Christmas!  Thanks Kaye for setting up this blog... :o)
