This was my second choice for the music theme; the first one ended up in the garbage. I don't know whether it was the fabric or the pattern, but it seemed like I was frogging more than I was stitching and I definitely wasn't enjoying it.
When I was refiling the chart, I found this one that worked out much better. It's "Away in a Manger" from an old Quick and Easy Cross Stitch magazine. It's not finished finished yet, but it will probably be my granddaughter's ornament this year since this was the first Christmas song she learned.
Welcome to the Jolliest blog on the block! Each month we have a different theme. You choose your OWN chart, fabric and threads. Share your progress as you go along and post your finished piece by the last day of the month. You can join at anytime throughout the year and choose which months you wish to stitch with us. Happy Xmas everyone!

A-dorable!
Very sweet and so great that you already have a recipient in mind.
Such a lovely idea for this month.
So sweet! I remember singing this song at my first Christmas concert, we had hand movements and everything to go with it. Still one of my favorite Christmas songs <3
What a sweet design. I love that Christmas Carol too.
Really cute - and I think it was probably the first for a lot of us.
Lovely choice. Sorry you had to go through such a frustrating experience with the first one.
Very pretty!!!
Lovely choice! Shame your first choice decided not to play the game!
hugs xx
