Serendipitous Jo's September Ornie

I've focused on the Tree part of the theme this month.  This is the second design I've stitched from this series of four by Blue Ribbon Designs.  I changed the fabric to a 32 count Twilight Blue linen and the white to B5200 because it really pops against the blue fabric.

I love the bright red of the cardinals.  Before I discoved blogging I did not realise these birds were actually that bright in real life!  I thought it was a little artistic license on the designers' part.

Oh that's really pretty Jo. I love your colour changes too. That blue fabric is perfect.

I love them both! I used to live "up North" (Ohio and MI). The cardinals (state bird of OH, by the way) are always beautiful but especially so when seen with a backdrop of snow.

Beautiful pieces Jo :o) The white of the snow really stands out... I have been known to change to B5200 for exactly that reason.... sometimes "white" looks so dirty when it is up against B5200...
Great finishes!
Hugs xx

This is a beautiful series, Jo, with all these sweet animals. I love both and have to keep this series in mind.

These are great designs. I agree. I think B5200 looks great on that fabric you used. Love these!
