Hoping I'll get this done. I've been working on it for my FF and a little into the week, too.

Santa's Helper - Craftingpaws' March Ornament
Managed to get some stitching time this weekend and finally finished my March ornament.
(I honestly thought I wasn't going to get it done.)
"A Hootie Christmas Elf" all ready to help Santa!
(The pattern comes from Mini Cross Stitch.
I stitched him on 14 ct. white Aida.)
I am hoping to get him framed in a decorated hoop soon.

March Christmas Eve Delivery
I made it just in time.... here is my March choice - Santa and his reindeer helper... Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery "Christmas Eve Delivery".
This is my first ever Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery finish. I have seen these designs around for ages on blogs and FB but never actually stitched one until now! And I loved stitching on it.. it is so cute! I will definitely be stitching another one of these designs at some point down the track.... This design was published in the Just Cross Stitch Chrismas 2015 magazine.
I stitched this design with DMC threads on a plain piece of 28ct linen from my stash.
Now I just need to think about the April choice.... :o)
Til next month, happy stitching
hugs xx

Here is my choice for the Santa and his helpers theme. I took two motifs from an Enjoy Cross Stitch at Christmas magazine and put them together.

Santa Reindeer
Hello Christmas Ornie friends!
This month I chose a freebie design from here. I am calling him Santa Reindeer but I have since learned that he translates to Christmas Moose but for the sake of this months theme he will be a reindeer so I can say he is one of Santa's helpers :)
I stitched him on some unknown white 32ct linen and used Weeks, Gentle Art, and Classic Colorworks threads. To finish him I just mounted him on some sticky mat board and frayed the edges.
Looking forward to next month!

Serendipitous Jo's March Ornie - Santa's Little Helpers
I have decided to stitch the Christmas Cubes by Primitive Hare as my Christmas project this year. I looked at the themes which Kaye had chosen for this year and all but two are covered by the Cubes. Perfect! It does mean that I will stitch the letters out of order but I can cope with that.
Here is Cube Three - S:

I'm stitching them on a lovely 35 count linen called Country Mocha by Willow Fabrics using the recommended DMC. I have changed the white to B5200 rather than Blanc because it will pop more against the neutral fabric.
And here is the set so far:

Brigitte's March Ornament
Hello friends,
I stitched this little ornament quite a while ago. It will become one of the advent calendar bags that I plan to do this year.
It's Be an Elf by The Primitive Hare and can be found in the 2014 JCS Ornament issue. I changed it a bit so that it won't be too big for the little bag.
Happy Stitching,
Brigitte

March Ornament - Complete!
Well, I must say, I had quite the time finding a pattern I liked for the "Santa and his Helpers" theme for March. I found "Miss Santa" in the 2014 December edition of "Just Cross-stitch" magazine. The designer is Laura Rimola of The Little Stitcher (I absolutely LOVE her designs!). This is stitched on 32 Ct linen and measure 3 x 4.75 inches.

I'm on a Roll....
Here's my February ornament - stitched on 28 Ct Blue Whisper Cashel. The design is by Belinda of Blue Ribbon Designs. It appeared in the 2015 "Just Cross Stitch" Christmas Ornaments magazine.
Now - off to stitch for March! Kaye - thank you for hosting this blog and SAL. xxx

I loved stitching this .....
Hello fellow elves,
Well, I am quite early, for me, in posting this month - Yay! At the end of last month I was scrabbling for what to do for March - Santa and/or one or some of his helpers, when I turned to my old faithful, Prairie Schooler, and found Book #63 Christmas Samplers
Well, I am quite early, for me, in posting this month - Yay! At the end of last month I was scrabbling for what to do for March - Santa and/or one or some of his helpers, when I turned to my old faithful, Prairie Schooler, and found Book #63 Christmas Samplers
And then my eye was caught by the middle sampler, "The Night before Christmas" and then I saw Santa on his sleigh with three of his reindeers and Bingo! There was my March choice.
I went to my stash and found some great Crafty Kitten overdyed 32 ct blue linen and two days later I was finished! Woo Hoo!
(It is much bluer than this - if I get a chance to take a better pic later, I will!)
This piece, of course, also counts for my Prairie Schooler SAL and for DUCJFC2016.
Can't wait to see what everyone else stitches this month.
hugs, Kaye

So Far Behind!
Well, I've been desperately trying to play catch up with my ornaments and have gotten nowhere, so I've decided to stop and just start fresh with March and do my best to keep up for the rest of the year!
I've loved looking at all your beautiful design choices and can't wait to get back to being a poster instead of just a commenter.
