Hello! Hello! Hello!

Long time no post from me (I seem to have completely lost my blogging mojo over the past two years) however I am still happy to "host" the Christmas Ornie SAL which still seems to be bringing people Christmas stitching joy.

To that end: any suggestions for themes for 2022 are most welcome - please make a comment below.

Suzanne's November Ornaments

Hi everyone! We are getting so close to Christmas. I am continuing with the Pinker n' Punkin' Barnyard Christmas series https://pinkernpunkinquilting.blogspot.com/. I have two finishes that fit Theme Four - Christmas Animals.

The goose on the left is called Skiing on the Farm and the stack of critters is called Special Delivery. I am finishing these all the same way on 18 count oatmeal Aida with called for DMC threads. I blended gray and white for the sheep so you could see it better. I hope you're not bored! I have two left for next month to show you all.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments on my previous posts. I'm looking forward to see everyone's stitching.

DJ's November Post

Hello Fellow Stitchers!

I've had a little time to gather my wits before the big holidays start rolling around!  I've finished my ornaments for this challenge for the month already, though I haven't fully finished them yet.  I'm so grateful for this challenge as it really helps me get my ornaments sorted before the big Christmas rush comes, and I've decided to give ornaments as gifts to the in-laws this year (except for the children that is).  Anyway, by next posting I hope to have things fully finished and I hope to post picture of them then.  Anyway...here are the ornaments I stitched this month...

First up is the 12 Dragonlets of 2012...and we have 11 Dragons Piping.  They are freebies from Dragon Dreams, I find the so adorable as each one has some funny elements included.

The second theme I have been working from is specific years of the JCS Ornament issue.  This month the year given was 2019 so I chose Chrystal Snowflake by Saving Grace Fine Needlearts.  I stitched this on 28 count Royal Blue using substituted Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braid instead of Kreinik.  I really love how this one turned out so I may have to make another one!  LOL

And that's all for this month.  I'm hoping to finish up the December ornaments in the next few days, then I'll begin fully finishing them.  With a Granddaughter in our lives now, I want to sit back and enjoy spending time with her for her first Christmas.  I'll be back soon with those pictures.  Happy Stitching everyone!

Gwen: October 2021

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted here. I’ll have to take a look and see what, if any,
I forgot to post here. This month I finished 10 Lords from Hands On Designs’ 12 Days.  I replaced some of the berries with beads.
