DJ's July stitching

Whew....it's been a challenging month for me so far, but I'm happy to report that I've finished my challenge pieces for this month!  Here we go!

For the 12 Days of Christmas I chose the ornaments from the 1989 May issue of Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine.  Here is Seven Swans A Swimming.  This was stitched on 28 ct. over one on white linen.

For Christmas Carols the theme Let It Snow was chosen.  Here is Let It Snow by Plum Pudding NeedleArt I found in the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue.  This was stitched on 32 ct over one on light blue linen.

For July they chose the 2006 issue of Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue and I found this cutie Winter's Eve by Country Cottage Needleworks.  This was stitched on 32 ct over one on natural linen.

Off to work on something new.  Happy Stitching Everyone!

Honeybee's April through July Finishes

Hello, everyone! We moved halfway across the country in April and I fell behind in this SAL, but I've caught up and have several finishes to share. Hope to be catching up on all your posts soon, too.

I'm stitching Theme #3, ornaments from the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament issues.

APRIL (2002)

MAY (2001)

JUNE (free choice, 2018)

JULY (2006)

If you'd like info on my color changes, I've posted everything on my blog.

Hope everyone's having a great summer!

Suzanne's July Ornaments

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has been well since last month. I am continuing with the Just Cross Stitch magazine theme. First up is Lizzie*Kate's "Happy Holidays". I stitched this on 18 count oatmeal fabric using DMC threads and added little snowflake embellishments from AC Moore.

Next is Val's Stuff "Be Merry". I stitched this on 18 count as well and finished with burlap, black stiffened felt and jute twine with a little pom pom for his hat. I used the DMC conversion threads.
Both ornaments are from the Just Cross Stitch 2006 Christmas Ornament magazine. I can't wait to see everyone's stitching this month!
