April ornaments

 Hi everyone,

This month I chose to stich the four theme. I stitched and finished the sleigh ornament I found it on Pinterest. I love it.

Also another one from Aurifil. I think the puppy looks so sweet.

And the 4 Day of Christmas which is half done as you see below. Will come back to update this post when done. It is not very straight, but I am enjoying stitching and finishing the ornaments.

Thanks,

Rosario

DJ's April Ornaments

Hello Fellow Stitchers!

I'm usually so excited to have finished stitching ornaments that I post them before finishing them.  I'm so bad when it comes to fully finishing them off, that I decided I wouldn't post until I at least finish the round ones (they are the easiest for me to finish...haha).  So this month I was super lucky to have two round ones!  So...here they are!

First is the 12 Days of Christmas and I'm stitching the 12 Dragonlets by Dragon Dreams.  This month was the Four Calling Collie Birds.  I love her sense of humor...putting the little phone, phone line and telephone pole in this design.  What fun!

Next I'm working on the theme from different years of the JCS magazine.  This month was 2017 and I chose Gilded Snowflake by DebBee's Designs.  I stitched this on 40 count Midnight Tryst by Fabrics by Stephanie over two with WDW Icicle floss.  This was a quick stitch!

I have to say, I don't get to visit this blog as often as I would like, but the ornaments I've seen you guys stitching and finishing are so gorgeous!  I really need to get busy and finish up several I've stitched this year.  I did fully finish a couple I stitched for this challenge this year...here are some I have posted for other months...

February Free Choice Snowflakes Falling by Rosie's Gardenfrom the 2002 JCS ornament issue

Thanks for looking!

Suzanne's April Ornaments

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well this month. I've received my first COVID vaccine and am looking forward to visiting with my family this summer. I am going with Theme Four this month which is a free choice. I've continued to stitch and finish Pinker n' Punkin' Quilting Christmas on the Farm Series which is freebie series on her blog. https://pinkernpunkinquilting.blogspot.com/

This month I've stitched Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Farm. I've stitched these on 18 count oatmeal Aida and finished them as flat ornaments using the red and green twine and red ticking ribbon as I've used on the others. These are a fun, quick stitch and I'm loving how they are turning out.

I am also continuing to stitch the Julia Lucas Designs that I've found in the Just Cross Stitch Magazines that I have. This is in the 2003 Ornament issue and is called "Time of Wonder. I've stitched this on 18 count oatmeal Aida with DMC threads. I'm substituting any specialty threads with DMC though I do have some blending filament for the stars. I'm finishing all of these the same way. Banner style as a flat ornament using green twine.

I can't wait to see everyone's stitching this month. I'm behind in my commenting, so I'll be off to do that. Take care!
