Suzanne's March Ornaments

Hello everyone! I have two themes this month. For Theme One I've stitched Jardin Prive's Twelve Days of Christmas. These took a lot of my stitching time so I think I'm going to stitch these one every two months. EDIT 4/21/22 OOPS! these are Gazette 94 freebies not Jardin Prive.

I stitched these on 18 count Oatmeal Aida with most of the called for DMC threads. I plan on making them into a banner. I want to finish stitching the first six before I make the first banner. I have an idea, I'll see if it turns out.

My second theme is Theme Four - Nutcracker. I've continued with my Nutcracker Sampler and stitched the Mouse King and another Nutcracker that I missed stitching before.
I'm looking forward to the little motifs each month.

My second ornament for this theme is Rhona Norrie's Sending Hugs which she gave away at the beginning of the Pandemic. I left off the Sending Hugs words and added a little mistletoe. I thought the little mice fit the theme and are so cute hugging. This is stitched on 18 count white Aida with the called for DMC threads. Finished as a flat ornament.
This is how I wanted to finish it, but now I think it's too blah or plain. There's too much white space at the top.  I'll have to think about it. You might see this one again next month.

EDIT: I couldn't leave this ornament as is and had to adjust it. I added crinkle ribbon from www.dianamlarson.com. I like it better now.

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to everyone's stitching.

Serendipitous Jo's March Ornament

Once again I am following the 12 Days of Christmas theme.  This year I am stitching the Jardin Prive 12 Days as my monthly project.  I am also continuing with the large Bothy Threads' design but won't be completing one block of those per month!

This is Day 3, completed 6th March, 2022:

I'm using a gorgeous 32 count linen called Millenium Blue and Anchor threads.  I have quite a few Anchor threads I inherited from a friend who gave up cross stitch when she became a professional crochet designer.  They are ideal for projects like this.

I'm planning to finish these as individual ornaments.

Mary's February Ornament

For February I stitched the Sugar Plum Fairy by Satsuma Street. Isn't she sweet?

I used the kit I bought on Etsy, and backed it with gold foil scrapbook paper. I have struggled to find a glue that works for backing perforated paper ornaments with paper. I used rubber cement for this one and it is the best so far! If anyone has used anything else really successful that doesn't wrinkle the paper or seep through the holes let me know!
