Serendipitous Jo's January Ornament

This year I decided to take a break from 12 Days of Christmas designs and go for the Just Cross Stitch back issues.  I own the CD so it was a case of going through each year and choosing my favourites from each issue.  There is a definite pattern here - 4 Dragon Dreams, 4 Sweetheart Tree and 1 each from Rosewood Manor, Ink Circles, Just Nan and Sue Hillis Designs.

I started on Christmas Day for the 12 Days of Stitchmas with the 2009 Issue and Rosewood Manor's Festive Quaker Tree:

stitched over one on 32 count Blue Hydrangea opalescent from Crafty Kitten

Each day I stitched one length of thread on the new ornament and then went back to my Quaker Tree.  So by Day 12 I had these started:

I also had a finish, my first of 2019:

This looks completely different to the model in the magazine.  I decided to use shades of blue in the 790s-800s plus B5200.  The white does show up much better in real life.  I am so happy with this finish and now just have to fully-finish it.
