March Ornament

I seem to be theme challenged this year. I am working on the 12 Berries of Christmas by Erica Michaels. I am also working on Starry Night, Prairie Schooler. I haven't finished the 4 Calling Birds Berry, and I'm not sure I'll be done by Wednesday. I did mange to stitch number 3 from Starry Night. I guess this could be a candidate for theme 4, lighting.

March Ornaments

Finished the Third Day of Christmas by Jardin Prive and a candle for the four theme.

Candle is a freebie from www.gvelloschitch.com. Not sure if I will add a bow since it already has one. I found the frame at a thrift store.

Serendipitous Jo's March Ornament

Once again I am following the 12 Days of Christmas theme.  This year I am stitching the Stoney Creek 2019 Ornament series as my monthly project.  I have also started the large Bothy Threads' design but won't be completing one block of those per month!

As per previous years, I started the 12 Days on Boxing Day and stitched one day for the next 12 days.  Each month I will return to the relevant Day and finish it.

Here are my Three French Hens:

stitched on 32 count Lime Green evenweave

You may have noticed something different about that one.  I bought some charms for the 12 Days and will be adding them instead of stitching the numbers.  I frogged out 1 and 2 and took the photos again with the charms:

Bothy Threads did not come up in my rotation this month.

Lynne 's March Ornament

Day 3 of Kooler's 12 Day set designed by Sandy Orton. I did add an extra row of stitches to the top and bottom of the '3', to give the hens a bit of extra space.  And I rounded off the heart, just because I wanted to.

I also finished Day 2 in February, but I was so engrossed in finishing a project that I forgot to post.

DJ's March Stitching

Hello Fellow Stitchers!

It's a lovely, windy, chilly day here in Maryland!  We were teased with a few warm days of sunshine, for which I'm grateful!  But now that we are back to chilly, it's a good day to stay home and stitch.  I've been working on two themes this year.  The first is the 12 Days of Christmas and this year I've been stitching the 12 Dragonlets of 2012 by Dragon Dreams.  I'm stitching them on 28 count Natural over two.  This month was 3 French Hens.  I really enjoy these as they tend to be a tongue in cheek design.  Since they are French Hens, they are drinking whine, and enjoying some cheese and baguettes.  One of the hens even has a beret!  haha  So much fun!  And hopefully I'll have a finishing day one of these days and get them made into ornaments.

The second theme I've been working with is the third theme listed, and this month I was to choose an ornament from the 2002 JCS Ornament issue.  I chose Little Lambs by Ursula Michaels.  Such a cute design.  I stitched this on 36 count Mystic over two.

I hope everyone is safe and healthy wherever you are!  Happy Stitching!

Suzanne's March Ornaments

 Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is healthy and safe a year into this pandemic. It's beginning to feel like Spring here in the North Eastern US. I have the windows open today! This month I was able to work on two themes, the Just Cross Stitch Magazine theme and the Selection of Christmas Ideas theme.

I completed Julia Lucas Designs, Together in Faith from the 2002 JCS Christmas Ornament issue. I stitched this on 18 ct. oatmeal Aida and finished it as a flat ornament similar to the banner style in the magazine. I didn't have all the specialty threads so I made do with DMC and a little bit of Kreinik blending thread.

My next ornament was a freebie from The Little Stitcher called Christmas Light. I stitched this on 28 ct over 2 with the called for DMC. I left off the words at the bottom of the design. I finished this as a flat ornament too. I bought several rolls of this twine in different colors. I hope it doesn't get too boring when I finish everything with it ;)

I can't wait to see everyone's stitching this month. Take care!
