March - We Three Kings

I'm stitching the Christmas Carol themes this year and the theme for March was We Three Kings.  I had several choices, but I found a group of charts that will match three of the themes so that's the one I chose.

This is the Three Kings chart from Cross Stitch Crazy #222.

Tamra's 3 Kings

Surprise!  Prairie Schooler - Book 109 Starry Night.  I have not stitched much with Kreinik before.  A little challenging but the effect in real life is beautiful.  Very sparkly.  32 count antique white Belfast linen with called for threads.

One Hen

I'm totally shoehorning this one...here is One Hen. I'm not sure she's French, and her sisters are not here, but I do have a Hen to show you for March, and I think she's very cute!

This is a Mill Hill kit, The Chicken or the Egg. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just love Mill Hill kits! This one was fun and quick! Have a great rest of the month, everyone!

Cheryl's Three Kings March Ornament

This month I stitched an adaptation of "Adoration of the Magi" from the book "100 Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments" by Carol Siegel.

I have stitched several of the ornaments in this book and have many more I plan to stitch in the future - as they cover so many themes.

Happy Stitching!

Serendipitous Jo's March Three French Hens

I have chosen the 12 Days of Christmas theme again this year and Just Nan's version is my design.  I started this on Christmas Day 2017 and stitched it for the 12 Days of Stitchmas.

Some late February ornaments

I can't believe I forgot to post my February ornaments! I even made 2!

For the Carols theme, here is my Reindeer (not red-nosed). It is a Beyond Cross Stitch kit from Victoria Sampler called Evergreen.

And for the Twelve Days theme, here are 2 doves, called "Snowbirds," by Country Cottage Needleworks from JCS Christmas 2013. I used Quaker 28 ct linen in Pearl Gray, and I didn't cross stitch it-- I was lazy and did continental stitch (half cross stitch) 2 over 1 with the suggested DMC. I wanted a really small ornament and this is just over 2" square. I really like it and it was fun to do!

March - We Three Kings

Hi everyone,

Here is my ornament for March.  I chose We Three Kings by The Cat's Whiskers Studio in the 2009 JCS Ornament issue.  I made some minor changes by using gold Kreinik for the crown and some red Swarkovski crystals for embellishments.

Thanks for looking,
Mary

Deck The Halls!

Hey guys!!

Finally finished my January "ornament" :)

And here is the whole project so far.

I had to stray from this for February as I had already stitched "Reindeer" and nothing else suited Rudolph so I went to Pinterest and found a sweetest little freebie.  I can't wait to show it to you!

Hopefully be back soon!

Happy Stitching!
